Instrument Petting Zoos
Our Instrument Petting Zoo is an outreach program allowing students the opportunity to hear, touch and try various instruments from the string, woodwind, brass and percussion families. A brief demonstration by Citadel faculty and/or students explains how the instrument(s) produce sound and are positioned after which participants get to experience as many as they wish. Ideal for schools, libraries, community programming, musical venues, all ages are welcome, 45-60 minute presentation is recommended. There is no charge for the Zoo but donations to our scholarship fund are appreciated. Contact Susan Dietrich-Reed to engage the zoo.
