Brianne VanHekken

Brianne Van Hekken earned her B.A. from Hope College where she double majored in Dance and Psychology.  During her senior year at Hope she was a member of the professional dance company, Aerial Dance Theater.  After graduating, Brianne choreographed and performed a Modern dance, Uetos, at Times Square in New York City through Project Dance.  For several years Brianne had the opportunity to work with the program, Art for All, at the Holland Arts Council in Holland, MI, where she designed creative movement experiences for developmentally delayed and disabled adults.

Brianne has taught dance classes locally at the YMCA in St. Joseph, the Salvation Army, and for the YMCA in South Haven.  She is currently working on her Masters degree in Social Work at Grand Valley State University. Brianne grew up in St. Joseph, began her dance training at a very young age and has an enthusiastic passion for the art of dance.
