Jeremy Dehring

Ballet

Jeremy Dehring began his dance career after an injury prevented him from competing as a gymnast.  He began his training in the area under the direction of Rhonda Rabbers.  After completion of high school he went on to major in dance at Western Michigan University, focusing on performance and dancing in works by Paul Taylor and George Balanchine.  He then pursued professional work becoming a scholarship student , then a trainee with the Grand Rapids Ballet.  This is where he began to truly understand classical technique.  He had the opportunity to participate in year round performances as well as the summer intensives with master teachers from across the globe.  He then continued to Nashville to dance with the city’s ballet company as a trainee, where he again had the opportunity to perform works by Balanchine.  He retired due to injury, but after extensive physical therapy is happy to be back in the studio and looking forward to resuming his career in dance.
