Marc Churchill
Marc Churchill, a native of Kalamazoo, MI, began his orchestral percussion studies with Judy Moonert at Western Michigan University, where he earned a BM degree in Percussion. Marc also earned a MM degree in Performance Percussion from Carnegie-Mellon University in PA studying with Timothy K. Adams. He performed with the CMU Percussion Quartet which won the 1997 Carnegie-Melon Concerto Competition. Marc is currently principal timpanist of the the Northwest Indiana Symphony and principal percussionist with the Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra. He also subs with the South Bend Symphony, Grand Rapids Symphony, Kalamazoo Symphony and the St Joseph Municipal Band. He is a past member of Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps. In addition to teaching at Citadel he also serves as adjunct music faculty at Lake Michigan College in Benton Harbor MI.
