Richard Bressler
Richard Bressler received his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
He was a band director for thirty-one years in the Camden-Frontier, Cassopolis, and Dowagiac school districts. His teaching included elementary, middle, and high school instrumental music; as well as elementary, and high school vocal music.
He is a proficient in clarinet and saxophone instruction and performance. He is also an accomplished music arranger and composer.
Richard has performance with the Kalamazoo Concert Band, Jackson Symphony, Elkhart, and South Bend Symphony Orchestra as well as the Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra.
Currently, Richard teaches private clarinet and saxophone from elementary to college level to students in Southwest Michigan. He performs as a baritone saxophonist with St. Joseph Municipal Band, Lake Effect Jazz Big Band, Sophisticated Swing Big Band, and the Sunrise Shores Saxophone Quartet. He is the choir director at the First United Methodist Church and is a student instrument fitter for Marshall Music Company. Dowagiac
