Adam Jones has been teaching and performing in southwest Michigan for over ten years. Specializing in drumset, Adam’s wide range of performance experience includes musical theater with Twin City Players and Lake Michigan College, classical projects with pianist Paul Flyger, rock/fusion gigs with original bands Few of the Many and The Rain Dogs, African styles with original worldbeat/reggae band Yoroka, jazz gigs with local singer Kelly Jones, and more. Adam’s formal instruction includes lessons and masterclasses with Henry Claude (St. Louis Symphony), Dom Famularo (B.B. King), Chester Thompson (Genesis, Frank Zappa), Russ Lawton (Trey Anastasio), and others. These varied influences allow Adam to tailor his lessons to the needs and interests of each individual student, while always relating the material back to the joy of music and self-expression.
