Erica Slikkers has been teaching violin lessons since 2007. She works for the county of Berrien downtown St Joseph at the courthouse as a Domestic Investigator.
Erica is a classically trained violinist of over 20 years. Her first teaching position was in 2007 at the Dance and Music Asylum in Saugatuck, Michigan. In May of 2008, Griessel opened a private violin studio based in Berrien Springs. She instructed 8 to 12 students ranging from beginner to intermediate.
She studied at Andrews University and has a Masters of Arts (2015) in leadership and Bachelors of Arts (2006) in public relations with a minor in music. She studied violin under Carla Trynchuk and Jose Delgado and was a member of the Andrews University Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Claudio Gonzalez and before him, Morihiko Nakahara.
